Itinerary

1. Day - Tokyo (arrival)

Arrive at Narita (Tokyo International Airport).

You will be met by a NTA representative and helped to board a bus. (English speaking assistant) transfer to hotel by Airport Limousine Bus (Travel time 85min).

2. Day - Tokyo (City Tour)

Guided sightseeing in Tokyo (09:00 – 17:00) using public transport. You can select your own itinerary, see suggested routes:

Sample 1: Tokyo Down Town
Tokyo National Museum – Ameyoka Market – Asakusa Kannon Temple – Sumida River Cruise – Hamarikyu Garden and teabreak – Ginza Shopping street.
Sample 2: Tokyo Center West
Meiji Shrine – Shopping in Omotesando – Ota Ukiyoe Museum – Observatoy of Tokyo Government Office – Kabuki-cho Area.
Sample 3: Old Edo und Tokyo Bay Area
Edo Tokyo Museum – Imperial Palace Plaza – Tokyo Bay Area – „Yurikamome“ Ride.

3. Day - Tokyo - Takayama

Hida in Takayama

Transfer to Takayama with your guide.

(Tokyo to Nagoya by Bullet train. Nagoya to Takayama by express train, Travel Time 300 min) Sightseeing in Takayama by public transport.

4. Day - Takayama - Shirakawago

Shirakawago

Transfer to Shirakawago by local bus with your guide. (Travel Time 120 min) Sightseeing in Shirakawago hamlet.

Stay overnight at a Minshuku (small traditional Japanese house) in Shirakawago. (Private bathroom, towel and toothbrush are nocht available at Minshuku).

Dinner at the Minshuku.

5. Day - Shirakawago – Kanazawa

Transfer to Kanazawa by local bus with your guide. (Travel Time 90 min) Sightseeing in Kanazawa using public transport.

6. Day - Kanazawa – Kyoto

Traditional quarter in Kyoto

Transfer to Kyoto by express train with your guide (Travel Time 120 min).

7. Day - Kyoto

Kyoto - Temple in Spring

Guided sightseeing in Kyoto (09:00 – 17:00) using public transport. You can select your own itinerary, see suggested routes:

Sample 1: Kyoto Main
Kinkakuji „Golden Pavillion“ – Ryoan-ji - Kiyomizu Temple – Gion Area.
Sample 2: Sagano – Arashiyama
Togetsukyo – Tenryu Temple – Zyojakoin Temple – Arashiyama Area.

8. Day - Kyoto – Osaka (departure)

Transfer to Kansai International Airport by Shuttle Van (Travel Time 90 min).
Pick up time is about 4 hours prior to the flight. Exact time of pick up will be notified to you on Day 7.
